The Team
LTI was formed by Bill and Cindy Downer, Jess Downer, and Katie Santon, each of whom continues to play a unique and integral role in the operations of the organization and the implementation of its projects. All of the team members have visited and lived among poor communities throughout the world, including Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Bill Downer
Chief Executive OfficerBill leads the organization’s administration and strategic initiatives. He has a thirty-year history in the automotive industry as a technician and has received extensive training in community development and nonprofit administration.
Cindy Downer
Quality Assurance OfficerCindy Downer has an Associate of Science degree from Central Oregon Community College. In addition to her involvement in LTI, Cindy has over 20 years of experience as a medical transcriptionist and editor, and currently works part-time in the travel industry.
Jess Downer
Chief Financial OfficerJess leads LTI’s accounting and financial planning activities, and provides guidance on strategic initiatives. He also has over five years of experience in private equity investment analysis and currently works with Meketa Investment Group. Jess graduated in 2002 from the University of Puget Sound with an emphasis in Finance.
